After seven successful seasons, entrepreneurial and business reality TV show, The Next Titan is set to commence auditions in six major cities for season 8.

The Executive Producer of the show, Mr Mide Kunle Akinlaja, who disclosed this at a press conference in Lagos, said the audition will start next week in Port Harcourt before moving to Abuja, Enugu, Lagos, Ibadan and Kano. Akinlaja said the Season 8 is a Special Edition as it gives an opportunity for Top 1000 Contestants from Auditions with good business ideas and with registered businesses to automatically qualify for N3,000,000 funding while unregistered businesses will qualify for N250,000 funding from Nigeria Investment Youth Fund (NYIF), an initiative of the Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports Development.

“After this, and for the main show aspect, the Top 50 would be selected for Top 50 Boot Camp, before the 16 final contestants with brightest ideas are shortlisted to live together, and to compete by carrying out weekly business tasks and challenges around the city of Lagos for 10 weeks on television, and with weekly evictions in the boardroom by the judges,” he said.

The winner will go home with N15m to start his/her dream business.

“The previous seven seasons produced winners who are doing great in their businesses, and some of these winners are iconic as they have built unbeatable businesses. All the previous winners of The Next Titan are now employers of labour, as they have launched their respective businesses which cut across different sectors, and have created jobs for other graduates while most of the participants who did not win have converted their lessons on the show into sustainable businesses. It will also interest you to know that two of our previous winners won Forbes under 30 Entrepreneurs in Africa in 2019 and 2020,” he added.

The reality show’s platform aimed at practically engineering entrepreneurship among Nigerian youths through identifying the best business minds and supporting their entrepreneurial acumen through logistical assistance, informal training, knowledge and other requisite services needed to propel them into successful personalities.

The event was attended by the runner up of season seven, Chidinma Eriobu.

The sponsors for this year’s edition include Heritage Bank, Air peace, Haven Homes, Sifax Group, Lifemate Furniture, RC Cola, Milky Taurus Limited, Terra season cubes, Cummins Generators and Premium Box.
