Real Madrid have reportedly offered Gareth Bale to Liverpool as bait to tempt Mohamed Salah to the Bernabeu.
But according to Don Balon, Bale’s reluctance to join the Reds could scupper the deal.
The report claims that Real are unwilling to meet Liverpool’s huge asking price for Salah and have offered Bale as a makeweight to reduce the fee.
However the Welshman is not interested in a move to Anfield and would prefer a switch to Manchester United or Tottenham.
