The irony is that while the all allegation of padded budget at the National Assembly lasted the lawmakers denied it blaming the presidency and civil servants for the foul play. I am really disappointed with the legislators who accused the Presidency for trying to amend budget through back door. They chided the Presidency for the discrepancies, padding, shoddy work but they tried to do the same thing by hiding the details, pretense, secrecy to ignore due process and lack of transparency. Rep Abdulmumin Jibrin is insincere, cunning and insulting. How can he allocate N4.1bn projects to his constituency alone? To say his people are also Nigerians thus deserve the projects is ludicrous? Worse still, it is reported now that one item was repeated twice with two figures earmarked for Bebeji earth dam, (N270m & N50m). All these, yet he claimed to have clean up the budget while blaming the Executive of blackmailing the Legislature. Sad!
