Hello Suleiman, it is a pity that the situation in Gaza has so degenerated from bad to worse. People should have a forgiving mind and try to live with one another in peace. Iran is not helping matters by arming Hamas and Hezbollah militants. Israel is not interested in fighting anybody. If Israel is attacked, it has the right to defend itself.

My dear namesake, thanks for the beautiful article on the Israeli genocidal war not really on Hamas only, but on all Palestinians, which may snowball to all Arab countries. You and Chief Femi Fani Kayode (a Christian) have exposed Israel as an irrational country and with an insensible Netanyahu leading it to ultimate disgrace.
The Western world have been shamelessly supporting Israeli genocidal war, but with no qualms siding with Ukraine against Russian aggression or territorial conquest.
- ‘Severe malnutrition rises by 51% in North’
- Amidst 27m housing deficit, many estates unoccupied in Abuja
Since the one-sided war against Palestine began in October last year, I have stopped watching CNN, BBC (except for the Focus on Africa programme) and SKY News. I don’t have other Western television stations because I don’t need them.
I have no respect for these so-called Western leaders and their media because they have lost every moral right to talk to the rest of the world about human rights, democracy and equality of human beings. They created the mess in the first place by planting Israel on Palestine land in 1948. The Israelis were nomads who Hitler wanted to exterminate. Now they want to exterminate the Palestinians and the world is just watching.
I feel sad when some people glibly say Israelis are a chosen people. Who chose them? As a Muslim, I strongly believe that it is only your piety and not genocidal behaviour, immorality, usury, etc, which makes you a chosen person before our Creator. It was Luis Farrakhan of the Nation of Islam in America who years ago, in answering a question as to “Why he hated the Jews”, replied by saying: “Man, I hate nobody but what I don’t like about Jews is that they are bloodsuckers.” Are they not sucking the blood of innocent Palestinians now?
A few months ago, a certain Reverend Kallamu Musa Ali Dikwa, who apparently only recently converted to Christianity, ignorantly and clumsily asked President Tinubu to warn me because I chastised Israel. He didn’t address me directly through the Daily Trust or by any other means. Otherwise, I would have taken him to the cleaners by exposing his lamentable ignorance of international affairs and diplomacy. If he thinks the Jews are a chosen people, then the world should not be seeing the murders of thousands of women and children in Gaza.
I will never understand the murderers of innocent people as meaning “God’s chosen”. These are people who despise Christians and Muslims alike as unbelievers. They have no respect for Christianity or Islam. Precisely because of their attitude to Christianity and Islam they have been bombing and killing worshippers in churches and mosques recklessly in Gaza and Lebanon. The Muslims in Israel are not only discriminated against, their schools are inferior to Jewish schools.
Your article took on the Arab and Muslim worlds who like eunuchs, watch Palestine savagely decimated by genocidal and racist Zionists. I had long ago severely criticised the Arabs for ignoring the Palestinian issue. Are the Arab potentates afraid of being toppled by the conspiracy of the Western world? Why have the Arabs let Palestinians down? Can it be for the fear that a democratic, free Palestine with periodic elections to choose new leaders will result in the Arab populace calling for democracy and periodic elections thus endangering the thrones of the potentates?
The Arab and Muslim worlds must rise and defend Palestine. I am happy Iran has picked up the gauntlet and has warned of massive retaliation if attacked by Israel.
As a parting shot, Israeli diplomats in Arab and Muslim countries must be expelled and all Israeli manufactured or agricultural products boycotted. I observe in consternation and disbelief that America, a so-called superpower, has tragically become a poodle of Israel, simply because of the Jewish lobby in Washington. How sad!!!

Salamu alaikum. Malam Suleiman. I hope everything is well and peaceful around you. I refer to your article of last week with the title “Gaza and the world since last October”. I believe only God knows the level and strength of the illicit relationships existing between Arab rulers, particularly Saudi Arabian rulers and successive American governments.
Arab rulers have turned themselves into puppets of the US and its Western allies. One day, those American puppets will definitely have no hiding place in the Middle East.

Re: ‘Gaza and the world since last October’. Yours of today, 7th October 2024, captured what I have, since the beginning of this conflict, been nursing. It appears the Arabs have lost their voice. It is unfortunate, disgusting and even more shameful that in the face of what is clearly genocide, none of the Arab countries or leaders has deemed it fit to speak. Allah ya kyauta!

Salam and thank you Suleiman, for your column this week
This is another interesting one I enjoyed reading. I saw it in a WhatsApp group. It actually balances out/neutralises and further educates readers who might have been biased against your last week’s column on the Vice President’s speech at the UN General Assembly.

Your White Paper column for Monday 7th October 2024 refers, please
“Yet, since history is a narrative of the powerful, however far the official narrative is from the actual truth, the Israel-Palestine question is neither presented nor understood this straightforwardly by many, including by many of those who should—and do—otherwise know better”.
The above is my quote of the week.
