ABBATI DANKANTI GUMEL ([email protected]): This is very serious! Is this happening in today’s Nigeria? But it is REAL! No Government in any part of the world would allow these perpetrators to go scot-free! The PMB administration and law enforcement agents must wake up to face this terrible crime. The culprits should not only be punished but must pay the price of all their atrocities. Does that not mean we should now not allow Igbos to mix freely with us? Does that not mean Igbos are no longer reliable if ever they were? Can we not call this a National Disaster? The federal government must do something urgent to arrest this situation, otherwise, things could get out of hand. The earlier government acts, the better for us all.
MUHAMMAD INUWA SANKA ([email protected]): Allah Ka dada tona musu asiri, amin (May Allah continue to expose their evil deeds, amen).
IFEANYI MMOH ([email protected]): In response to the trash you wrote on Saturday Column, you seem to conclude that the drug cartel in Kano and indeed Northern Nigeria is controlled by the Igbos. You seem to also conclude that the kidnap trade-in Kano is run exclusively by the Igbos. This prompts me to ask if you are a journalist or a palm wine drunkard. Let me remind you that no trade that goes on anywhere, whether in the north or the south that does not involve indigenes of those areas. I believe that what irritates the average Northerner anytime he sees an Igbo man is that the Igbo is more advanced than him. The Igbos are capitalists and the Hausas are feudalists. The former creates wealth for all, but the latter (to which you belong) specialises in blowing trivial issues out of proportions. So the Igbos were caught with Muslim kids that are already converted to Christians, and so what? Will you compare that with what Boko Haram has done? It is convenient for you to prattle like an IDIOT just like your very IDIOTIC PMB and talk sanctimoniously. The atrocities committed by the Hausas in Igboland has never (and I mean never) been given prejudicial publicity like this, but because the Igbo man has done it, it gives you the pleasure to talk in this biased manner. Let me remind you that the art of kidnapping began from the Arabs, and Nigeria is the reason where the Igbos picked the despicable act. Advise your people to break up this federation because everyone I know today hates you Northerners, your religion and your backward mindset.
MUHAMMAD SANI ([email protected]): I cherish and admire your Saturday Column and I will forever continue to cherish it. A lot of conspiracies theories have been going across the country since the emergence of PMB as Nigeria’s President in 2015. They fabricated malicious lies against him that his mission is to complete Usman Danfodio’s Jihad for the purpose if Islamising the whole country. Time has finally told us that Christianisation is the agenda of the Igbos, considering what has happened to the Kano Nine. We pray that Allah (exalted be His Name) will continue to expose their evil plots against our region and religion.
RUFA ’I CHIROMA ([email protected]): Thanks for this very revealing expose. This is indeed very tragic. May Allah SubhanaHu wa Ta’ala continue to save and protect Muslims wherever they are.
MUHAMMAD HADI MUSA: Mallam Allah Ya saka ma ka da alkhairi . I read your Column and Inna lilLahi wa inna ilaiHi raji’un ! May Allah guide our leaders and media outlets and wake them up from their deadly slumber. No one is saying or doing much, compared to if the converse were the case! Thanks for reminding us even the names of these criminals and the crimes they committed against us.
IBRAHIM SADAUKI KABARA (ACTING EXECUTIVE SECRETARY, KANO LEADS, IN A MEMO TO THE ORGANISATION): “Kano Leads should immediately organise public lectures and townhall meetings to keep the community aware; arrange regular speaking opportunities in the press for the parents and affected children; participate in ‘Hannu-Da-Yawa’ (FRCN Kaduna) and ‘Duniyarmu-A-Yau’ (Freedom Radio Kano) etc for more publicity; write to vibrant CBOs/NGOs to mobilise for the formation of an ad-hoc coalition to give this issue the deserved frontline attention; sensitise and prepare citizens to always attend whichever court these criminals would be taken for trial; organise outreach visitations to the Judiciary, Police, DSS, NAPTIP, Human Rights Commission, NDLEA, etc; write petitions to ECOWAS, African Union and UN; put strong pressure on the Federal Government to embark on a wider search for the whereabouts of the remaining missing children; put pressure on the Police to make regular media rollcalls of the remaining missing children; demand payment of reparation for the enslavement of our children (to be jointly and severally paid by the Federal and the Anambra State Governments as well as any other states our missing children may be traced to in the future); put pressure on the Federal Government to, like they did for Chibok Girls, annually appropriate for the education and maintenance of these recovered children and the ones to be found in the future; organise fact-finding missions to all Igbo States (as well as other states which may be found to harbour our kidnapped children) with a view to discovering more of our missing children; organise, without further delay, a thorough search and screening of ANY and EVERY Igbo luxurious bus leaving New Road Sabon Gari or Unguwa Uku Motor Parks in Kano and heading to Igboland; impress on all our lawyers to join hands and lead the legal fight for the rights of these children and their parents.”
FINALLY, THE QUR’AN NEVER FAILS: One of the child victims (who could not speak even one word in Hausa or even remember his name) was miraculously able to recite Suratul Fatiha from memory! Allahu Akbar! The Qur’an never left his heart! This Column calls on ALL Muslims in Igboland to recite Suratul Fatiha whenever they suspect that a child looks like from our side, and hence a kidnap victim. Perchance, the child may repeat after you. May Allah strengthen our hold on the Qur’an!
