They said tourism should be actively involved in the re-branding campaign because it is “Nigeria’s window to the world.”

This is part of an eight-point resolution issued at the end of a one-day National Tourism Communication (TOURCOM) workshop organised by the National Institute for Hospitality and Tourism (NIHOTOUR) in Abuja.

Earlier at the opening ceremony, the Minister of Tourism, Culture and National Orientation, Senator Jibrin Bello Gada said tourism, if properly harnessed, could serve as a veritable vehicle for re-branding Nigeria.

In his welcome address, the Director General of the NIHOTOUR, Alhaji Munzali Dantata said for the industry to thrive, highly skilled tourism professionals were needed and that was why the institute organised the workshop.
