A Kano business mogul, Alhaji Aminu Alhassan Dantata, has expressed concern over decline in good virtues among Nigerian youths, saying the rate of decadence among the younger generation is alarming.

Dantata, who made the assertion when he received the Acting Chief Executive Officer of Media Trust, publishers of Daily Trust newspaper titles, Malam Nura Mamman Daura, at his residence in Koki quarters, Kano, said concerted effort was needed to address the situation.

He explained that it was unfortunate that things were not moving as expected courtesy of the decline in honesty and sincerity among Nigerian youths, lamenting that “If things continue the way they are now, only God knows what the future of the unborn generation would be. The situation is getting worse on a daily basis.”

Alhaji Aminu Dantata, who hailed Media Trust for its professionalism, called on media organisations to sit up in discharging their responsibilities of educating, entertaining and enlightening the society.

Earlier, the Acting Chief Executive Officer of Media Trust, Malam Nura Mamman Daura, said they were at Dantata’s residence to seek his fatherly guidance.
