Rasheed Alabi appointed Osun Accountant General

Governor Adegboyega Oyetola of Osun has approved the appointment of Mr Rasheed Olalere Alabi as the new Accountant General of the State.

The appointment is consequent upon the voluntary retirement of the incumbent Accountant General, Mr Moses Sunday Igbaroola, from the Civil Service after the attainment of the mandatory retirement age of 60 years.

The new AG was the Director, Treasury and Pension Services in the Office of the Accountant General, before his appointment.

The Governor also approved the appointment of Dr Mrs Taiwo Temilade Adeagbo as the Executive Secretary of Osun State Senior Secondary Schools Education Board.

This appointment was contained in a statement by the Permanent Secretary, Public Service Office, Leye Aina on behalf of the Head of Service, Dr Olowogboyega Oyebade.

Meanwhile, the Ilobu-Asake Development Union congratulated Alabi and expressed gratitude to Oyetola over the appointment.

The National President of Ilobu-Asake Development Union, Pastor Olufemi Salako, in a statement on Wednesday, described the elevation of Alabi as reward for hard work, resilience, integrity and dedication of Alabi, which according to him are symbols of every Ilobu son and daughter.

“The statement partly read, “On behalf of the Olobu of Ilobu, Oba Asiru Olatoye Olaniyan II, the national executive committee of Ilobu-Asake Development Union, sons and daughters of Ilobu home and in Diaspora, I congratulate you on your elevation as the Osun State Accountant General.”

“Your appointment is no doubt a reward for your dedication, resilience, integrity and unquantifiable hardwork which I believe, are symbols of every son and daughter of Ilobu-Asake.”

“While we have no doubt in our minds that you will not only excel in your new role as the number one Accountant in Osun, we also believe you’ll make Ilobu proud more.”
