“I’ve had so much money since I joined the NBA – $20m in the first four years,” he told La Gazzetta dello Sport.“I cannot even manage to think about what to do with it. I’m not someone who buys eight Rolls Royces and I don’t have strange needs or material dreams.”
The 23-year-old, seven-footer acknowledged, however, that given the current economic climate he was glad to have the massive income.
“I’m happy for my family and the security they get from it,” he added. “Above all, in this moment of crisis I consider myself a very lucky person.”
