Fourth-placed Enugu Rangers are favoured to annex the maximum points when they host troubled Heartland FC today in the week 26 match of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) scheduled at the Awka stadium.
The ‘Flying Antelopes’ as Rangers are called are among the top four teams chasing for this year’s title having amassed 42 points from 26 matches while their opponents are presently languishing in 18th position with only 28 matches.

While Rangers forced relegation bound MFM to a barren draw in Lagos last Sunday, Heartland battled to a 2-1 win over ‘Oriental brothers’ Abia Warriors in week 26.
However, Heartland’s fight for survival may suffer another setback as they will be up against highly motivated Rangers who have won 11 matches, drawn nine and lost only six out of 26 matches.
Victory for Rangers will lift them to the third position, if Remo Stars fall at Abia Warriors in the other week 27 fixture to be played in Okigwe.
Therefore, to maintain their place on the table, Remo Stars must beat Abia Warriors who are battling for survival in the 14th position or pray that Heartland trip Rangers in Awka.
While Remo Stars have won 12, drawn seven and lost seven matches for 43 points, their opponents have only won seven, drawn nine and lost 10 matches.
