Enugu Rangers yesterday defeated Doma United 1-0 to win its first away Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) game since March 13, 2022.
The matchday 21 fixture saw Rangers complete a double over Doma United at the Pantami Stadium, Gombe to maintain its winning streak as they have never lost a clash against their hosts. In their four league meetings till date, the Flying Antelopes have won three and drawn one.
While this win is also the first away win of the season for Fidelis Ilechukwu side, it is also the first loss in 19 games at home for Doma United in Gombe in their history.
Doma United has now gone four games without a win in the league fell to a 30-minute strike from Collins Ugwueze. It is their longest run of matches without a win in the league since losing three games this season.

Uguweze’s goal is the second goal Doma United will be conceding at home this season. The ‘Savannah Tigers’ as they are called have conceded only six goals at home since their promotion to top flight football.
In the other games played yesterday, Bendel Insurance were unable to defeat visiting Enyimba as they played out a goalless draw in Benin while Kwara United were held to a 1-1 draw by visiting Katsina United.
Adeshina Gata had scored for the hosts in the 44th but an own goal from Adewale Adeyinka in the 86th minute ensured Katsina Utd left Kwara with a point.
Meanwhile, action continues today as Sporting Lagos visit Gombe United while Plateau United play hosts to Shooting Stars.
Lobi Stars will trade tackles with Heartland FC while Abia Warriors battle Niger Tornadoes. It is a south-south derby as Akwa United lock horns with Bayelsa United.
Kano Pillars will take to the field against visiting Sunshine Stars while the game between Remo Stars and Rivers United has been postponed.
