In his acceptance speech, Dr Ramalan promised to properly galvanise the resources of the association towards national development and the enlightenment of the northern audience.
He said, “As a critical stakeholder in the broadcast industry it is incumbent on the NBMOA to assert its role and position in the extant and evolving policies that midwife the industry, especially at such a crucial time the world is grappling with the issue of digitisation and all the challenges associated with it.”
He added that  NBMOA will work closely with industry regulators such as the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC), Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria (APCON) and the Broadcasting organisation of Nigeria (BON), amongst others, in order to sustain a mutually beneficial relationship.
