Ramadan: Sheikh Jingir admonishes scholars to preach truthfulness, kindness

The National Chairman, Ulama’u Council, of Jama’atu Izalatil Bid’ah Wa’Ikamatis Sunnah (JIBWIS), Sheikh Sani Yahaya Jingir, has admonished Islamic scholars to be truthful and just in their preaching.

Sheikh Jingir made the call Thursday at the opening of the 29th annual pre-Ramadan seminar themed: “Good Governance and Best Approach to Public Security” held in Jos.

According to him, the only way out of the menace – insecurity, high cost of living, corruption – among others is for everyone to be sincere and kind to one another, saying sincerity helps to stabilise the country.

He said: “Preach unto the people that which is truth, right and just. Do not preach hatred, discrimination or vices. Allah does not like corruption, cheating, and discrimination on the basis of race or any other thing.

“Allah does not like discrimination on the basis of sex, tribe, race or location. People across the world should embrace justice and fear of Allah and with this, the world will surely be at peace,” the cleric added.

The three-day lecture, which started on Thursday had in attendance scholars from within and outside the country.
