Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has welcomed Muslims into the month of Ramadan, urging them to remain law abiding and strictly observe social distancing and proper hygiene during and after the period. The governor on his official twitter handle @jidesanwoolu, urged all Muslims to use “this period of spiritual connection with the Almighty Allah” to pray for Lagos State, Nigeria and the entire world to overcome the novel COVID-19 pandemic. “Let us remain law abiding by following strict instructions on social distancing and proper hygiene. May Allah accept our supplication,” the governor said.
