Ramadan: Muslims urged to pray for Nigeria

The Kaduna State branch of Nasru Lahi-l Fathi, (NASFAT) has urged Muslims to pray fervently for the country to overcome its security challenges especially as the Holy month of Ramadan begins.

The religious body also called on Nigerians to exercise patience with the country’s leadership following the menace ravaging the country.

Speaking during the opening of the association’s Annual Ramadan Tafsir, the branch chairman, Engineer Muyideen Alimi Yusuf, who appealed to Muslims to pray in the holy month for the country’s transformation said, “We are not only encountering security challenges alone , but also economic challenges. The insecurity we are experiencing is as a result of poor economy. We should be patient with our Leaders.”

On the activities lined up for the less privileged in the holy month, Engr. Yusuf said NASFAT has completed plans to “offer food items and other materials to the needy in this month of Ramadan and that’s why seeking donations from well to do people in the society.”

“We will also visit grave yards to assist workers there and also pray for the departed Muslims. We also intend to visit orphanage homes, hospitals and prison yards to assist those in detention. We will distribute our Zakat to the less privileged.”

Imam of NASFAT, Kaduna branch, Maaruf Raji in his sermon urged Muslims to maintain good relationship with all and sundry, advising them to abide by the teachings of Islam during and after the month of Ramadan.
