FCT Muslims and their counterparts across the country have been urged to use the opportunity of the last 10 days of Ramadan to pray for the solutions to the nation’s challenges.
The founder of the Imaadudeen Islamic Organisation, Alhaji Tajudeen Muhammad-Raji, gave the advice yesterday in Abuja at the special prayer for the nation and lecture on the importance of the last 10 days of Ramadan.
The period is when Muslims seek for Laylatul-Qadri (Night of Decree/Majesty) a special night that is believed to be worth more than 1000 months or 84 years in rewards for acts of worship.
“We organised this special national prayer for peace and progress of the nation as it is observed that the nation needs prayers as part of measures to solve its numerous challenges,” Muhammad-Raji said.
The Chief Imam of 24 Crescent Central Mosque, Gwarinpam, Ustaz Abdulganiy Abdulraheem Zubaidi, said the nation is facing the present challenges due to the mismanagement of its human and natural resources.
He therefore urged Muslims to utilize the blessings of the last 10 days of Ramadan to pray to Allah for quick and lasting solution, while being patience with the divine response and also with the nation’s leaders.
Chairman of the occasion, Dr. Saidu Bello, stressed the importance of worship especially in this period of seeking the Night of Majesty.
