Kano State Zakat and Kubsi Commission Thursday inaugurated a seven-man zakat collection committee that will be collecting Zakat ahead of the approaching Ramadan fasting period for onward distribution to the less privileged who have met the beneficiary’s criteria.
Speaking to newsmen after the official inauguration of the committee, the Director General (DG) of the commission Malam Safiyanu Ibrahim Abubakar Gwagwarwa said the commission had conducted its assessment and letters had been sent to individuals and corporate bodies reminding them of the need to give out Zakat.
