Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State has approved 8am to 3pm as official working hours from Monday to Thursday in the public service for the holy month of Ramadan.
The Permanent Secretary, Office of the Head of Service, Isyaka Alhaji Lawan, who announced this, said workers would work from 8am to 12noon on Fridays.

He said, “This adjustment covers the month of Ramadan only, and normal working hours commence immediately after the month of Ramadan.”
Buni had earlier felicitated with the people of the state and the entire Muslim ummah on the commencement of the Ramadan fast.
