Ramadan: 12,600 Nigerians get Saudi relief items

 The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, through the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre, in collaboration with the Abubakar As-sadiq Philanthropic Home in Nigeria, has distributed food items as relief materials to 12,600 individuals in three states.

 Rounding off the final stage of the distribution exercise in Kano, the programme coordinator, Abubakar Sadiq Philanthropic Home in Nigeria, Abdullahi Adeshola said 2,300 poor and vulnerable Muslim households, comprising 12,600 individuals, were targeted and given the aid so that they could cater for themselves and their families this coming Ramadan.

 He said that in Kano, 767 beneficiaries had received the items and indirectly affecting 4,200 individuals, saying each targeted beneficiary has about six dependants.

 The states where the relief materials were distributed include Kano, Abuja and Kwara.

A beneficiary, Ahmad Salisu Yakubu Kofar Mata, thanked the centre and Sheikh Abdulrazak Ibrahim for facilitating the gesture, which he said would go a long way in easing the hardship of the poor and vulnerable.

 Items distributed to each household included a bag of rice, a bag of beans, oil and grains.
