A rainstorm on Thursday destroyed buildings in Igbaja community in Ifelodun LGA of Kwara State which has rendered many residents homeless.
The rain, it was gathered, started around 10pm and lasted into the early hours of Friday.

FOMWAN primary and ECWA secondary schools, residential homes, mosques, churches, shops and other structures in the community were affected.
Residents lamented their losses and called on the state government to come to their aid.
The imam of Oke Suna in the community, Alfa Ismail, said the incident had stopped them from observing congregational prayers and disrupted students’ classes as well.
The senior special assistant, community intervention to the Kwara State governor,. Kayode Oyin Zubair, who commiserated with the victims, urged calm, adding that relevant government agencies would be put on alert to adequately respond to the situation and confront other emergencies.
