Rainstorm claims 3 lives, destroys houses in Katsina

A rainstorm on June 11, 2022, killed three people, injured many others and destroyed 73 houses in Kankara LGA of Katsina State.

Spokesman of the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) in Katsina, Malam Umar Mohammed, revealed this to the News Agency of Nigeria  on Monday.

He said SEMA officials who visited the area after the incident advised the state government to provide drains to prevent recurrence, while noting that a formal request had also been made to the state government to support affected families with building materials to reconstruct their houses. (NAN).
