Rains, wind chase PDP delegates from election venue

Heavy rains accompanied by storm chased away Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)’s delegates from the Aper Aku Stadium, venue of the party’s governorship primary election in Makurdi.

The exercise which was yet to begin as at 10:00pm when this story was filed, had been disrupted by the rains as delegates and security operatives scampered to safety following wind that blew off canopies as well as other facilities put in place for the election.

No reason has been given for the delay neither had the aspirants arrived the venue for the exercise.
