The Railway Property Management Company Limited (RPMCL) has urged its senior staff to tap into the abundant opportunities in real estate/property businesses nationwide.
The managing director of the company, Mr. Timothy Zalanga, who said this at a four-day strategic human capacity development training for senior staff on the Land Use Act and the Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) Act as well as the NRC Land Acquisition Act, stressed that it was aimed at improving service delivery.

The staff were also trained on leadership, ethical values, anti-corruption and other contemporary issues at the workplace.
Zalanga also said the training was meant to improve the skills as well as broaden the staff’s horizon to the abundant opportunities available in the real estate and property sectors across the nation.
The training, which according to the managing director, was in two independent variations, was focused on the Land Use Act, NRC Act and NRC Land Acquisition while the other focused on leadership, ethical values, anti-corruption and other contemporary issues at the workplace.
He emphasised that through the training staff would come out better equipped and enlightened in the areas of property management as well as have an improved ethical standards that would take the company to higher heights and be able to adequately compete with similar organizations nationwide.
Mr. Zalanga reiterated the company’s commitment to staff welfare and development through the strategic move, adding that the training would help the staff going forward to be able to confront challenges that require legal knowledge.
A resource person, Dr. Aminu Gusau, addressed issues of leadership and governance adding, “It profoundly places emphasis on contemporary issues of anti-corruption and ethical values in the workplace as well as organizational leadership because we strongly believe that corruption and lack of leadership have been a major impediment to progressive development in the country.”
A participant, Mr. Babatumde Ogunmadeko, said the training has impacted more knowledge on them which is a departure from the past, and broadened their knowledge on the holistic view of the modern organizational dynamics and change management among others.
About 38 top management staff of the company across the country participated in the training.
