Adamawa has launched an emergency pest control programme after declaring threat of quela bird invasion across 12 council areas.

Adamawa state governor Muhammadu Bindow launched the emergency programme to control migratory pests on Tuesday by aerial spray.
The emergency control is planned for the entire country, ut only some states have started it.
The programme was decided after agriculture commissioners met with federal government in the wake of threat of an invasion of quela birds and other pests from neighbouring Niger Republic.
