The Super Eagles have vowed to secure qualification for the Qatar World Cup when they kick off the qualifying series against the Lone Stars of Liberia this afternoon.
In a press conference held Thursday, goalkeeper Maduka Okoye said his team mates are motivated to win their games and ensure qualification for the mundial.

“We are fully prepared to win our games against Liberia and Cape Verde when we play against them. We know how Nigerians love football and we cannot disappoint them,” he said.
Speaking in the same vein, Leicester City forward Kelechi Iheanacho said there are no pushovers in Group C as every opponent is tough.
“There is no easy opponent as all will pose a strong challenge to us. It is our duty to ensure we win our games and pick up the World Cup ticket.
“It’s not going to be an easy group for Nigeria. We know that the other countries have good players as we do. We are focused on the game against Liberia on Friday and after that, we will take each game as they come” he said.
“I’m going to work harder to give my best against Liberia just like the other players. We know what is at stake. We are going out for the win against Liberia” he concluded.
The three-time African Champions take on a largely home based Lone Stars of Liberia today at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Lagos.
