A publishing firm, LearnAfrica, has rewarded the six candidates from Lagos and Ogun States who emerged with best results in the Senior Secondary School Certificate Examinations (SSCE) organised by National Examination Council (NECO) in June/July, 2015. At an award ceremony in Lagos, the duo, Adelaja Muhammad of Isolog College Alagbole, emerged best NECO candidate from Ogun State with three A1, five B2s and one B3, while Nwaoha Ifeanyi also from Isolog College, Ojodu, with five As and four B2s, emerged as the best NECO candidate in Lagos State.
On the other hand, FolorunshoTemitope of Ota Total Academy and Oduselu Mofolorunsho of Tai Solarin University of Education (TASUED) Secondary School from Ogun State emerged first and second runners up respectively. The duo of Okwunze Kenechuckwu of Apostolic Faith Secondary School and Ofili Paul Onyedikachi of Jextoban Secondary School, Alapere, Lagos, also emerged first and runners up, respectively.
LearnAfrica’s Managing Director Segun Oladipo said the awards were instituted to underscore the significant role that excellence in education can play in achieving national goals and aspirations. He added that 111 candidates are to receive awards as across the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory, with each state represented by three candidates.
