The Executive Committee of the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) in Bauchi State has approved the immediate suspension of the member representing Bauchi Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon Yakubu Shehu Abdullahi (Wakilin Birnin Bauchi), from the party for 12 months over anti-party activities.
PRP, in a statement signed, on Thursday by the State Publicity Secretary, Usman Muhammed, also accused Yakubu of insubordination to the party leadership and upbraided his inability to give good representation in line with the party manifesto.

The party said it noted with dismay that almost two years since he was elected, the lawmaker had no single bill to his credit despite the apparent challenges bedevilling his constituency which needed legislative action.
Effort to get the reaction of Rep Abdullahi was not successful as he declined to pick several calls to his mobile number and did not respond to a text message sent to him as at the time of filing this report.
Similarly, the State Executive Committee (SEC) of the party also on December 23, 2020, approved the immediate dissolution of the Interim Executive Committee of the Bauchi Local Government chapter.
Consequently, a caretaker committee has been constituted to pilot the affairs of the party pending its convention.
