Eniola made the call on Monday in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Oye- Ekiti.
He stressed the need for collaboration of parents and government in order to transform the education sector for better education delivery.
“Parents have roles to play in educating the child; they ought to provide their children with basic needs, such as writing materials and good food.
“They should also monitor their movement as well as ensure good upbringing including adequate training.
“Teachers should impart the right knowledge in the pupils; do their works without supervision and keep on acquiring more training that will make them provide effective teaching,’’ he stated. (NAN)
Eniola noted that teachers played a crucial role in the education of children and constituted important influence in the learning process and academic achievements.
He urged parents and teachers to play their roles well so that children will not depart from the good principles and moral upbringing needed to cope with the challenges of life.
He called on government to retrain and motivate teachers and not to relent in providing the needed tools for the promotion of quality education. (NAN)
