The pioneer president of the Carpets Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (CMAN), Otuekong Sunny Jackson Udoh, has called on the federal government to establish intervention funds for manufacturers.
Udoh, in a statement, said the fund will bolster confidence in manufacturers of whom, he said, the harsh economic policies in precious governments killed many industries in the country.

“I would suggest that the government considers providing special intervention grants to manufacturers through the apex bank, with proper monitoring mechanism to ensure that only companies with requisite structure and infrastructure benefit from such support.”
He said almost every day, some of the big companies in Nigeria were moving their headquarters to Ghana.
