The Nigerian Police FCT Command has arraigned some members of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN) over alleged disturbance of public peace.
According to the charge brought before a Magistrate Court Wuse Zone 2 on Thursday, the defendants, numbering over 130, were alleged to have thrown stones on security agencies after they were commanded to disperse during their protests from Saturday to Wednesday.
The defendants, which include nursing mothers, however pleaded not guilty to the offences.
The defendants, who were arraigned in different court rooms, were granted bail in the sum of between N50, 000 and N500, 000 each.
