Protesters storm PDP secretariat, kick against moves to sack Ayu

Following agitations for the removal of the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Dr Iyorchia Ayu, the Ijaw Mandate Group, yesterday stormed the party headquarters and charged the chairman to ignore those calling for his sack.

The group said those asking Ayu to vacate his seats are moles in the party, who did not mean well.

Leader of the group, Andaye Dagidi, said Ayu’s leadership has “Rejuvenated the party and the efforts have yielded results in winning majority seats at the FCT Area Council election and the recently conducted Osun governorship election.”

Receiving the protest letter from the protesters on behalf of the NWC, National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba lauded the group for taking the path of peace.
