Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has urged traditional rulers in Nigeria to promote unity amongst themselves and countrymen.
Obasanjo also charged monarchs and stakeholders to promote cultural heritage and make it a tourism attraction.

The former president, who is the Balogun of Owu in Abeokuta, spoke yesterday during the Odun Omo Olowu (Owu sons’ festival) 2021 held in Abeokuta.
The event was attended by the state governor, Dapo Abiodun and former governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, among others.
Obasanjo, who spoke in the presence of the Alake of Egbaland, Oba Michael Gbadebo and the Agura of Gbagura, Oba Saburi Bakare, among other traditional rulers, charged them to work together and allow development in the state.
The governor, in his remarks, commended the former president for his roles in the state and the country, pledging to join hands in promoting cultural heritage and tradition.
