Probe MDAs, others to implement ‘renewed hope’ agenda, supporters urge Tinubu

Supporters of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu have asked him to probe all the federal government Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) and others in the interest of the nation.

In a statement on Wednesday in Abuja, Tinubu’s supporters under the aegis of Bola Ahmed Tinubu (BAT) Vanguard, said probing or auditing the MDAs would enable the federal government recover “looted funds” back to its purse, which will assist in the implementation of President Tinubu’s ‘Renewed Hope’ agenda.

The Convener, Engr. Sola Olofin, who signed the statement said, “The few arrests and probes made by the past administration and the mind-boggling findings make this call for further probe an inevitable necessity. Mr. President needs to order a total audit/probe of government agencies as we have only just seen the surface.

“This call should not be misconstrued to President Tinubu probing the Buhari administration, but on the contrary and as a matter of fact, be a continuation of the probe initiated by President Buhari of persons in his government and that of President Goodluck Jonathan who helped themselves and cronies with public funds.

“Furthermore, I am urging Mr. President to revisit the Orosanye Report on merging of some government agencies that have overlapping responsibilities in order to cut down the current cost of governance before the planned review of minimum wage.

“It is an incontrovertible fact that there is so much wastage in government and Mr. President will do well by first tackling and blocking all leakages, restructuring the agencies of government for greater efficiency and transparency.”
