Registered security agents and personnel of volunteer security groups have sought the collaboration of police, military and other security agencies in Borno and Northeast.
The groups made the appeal at the closure of a three-day training workshop organised by the North East Development Commission (NEDC) in collaboration with Tatari Ali Polytechnic, Bauchi on Wednesday, in Maiduguri.
Speaking at the event, the Coordinator of the training, Dr. Mohammed Suleiman Awwal, said effective synergy with the police and other security agencies in intelligence sharing would enhance the security architecture of Borno and North East.
“As campaigns have commenced ahead of the 2023 general elections, there is a need to have this collaboration so as to close the gap of security in the region,” he said.
