Prison escapee disguised as madman rearrested in Edo

An escapee from a correctional facility in Edo State who disguised as a madman has been rearrested by security operatives.

The escape, it was gathered, was among inmates that escaped from a correctional centre following a jailbreak during the #EndSARs protest in the state.

It was further learnt that the escapee had been hibernating around the correctional centre for over three weeks before he was apprehended.

A security operative said an Android phone was recovered from the escapee after a search conducted on him.

The spokesman of the correctional service in the state, Aminu Suleiman, said he was yet to be briefed about the incident.
