Prioritise your kids, wards’ education, FCT chief urges parents

The Agora of Zuba in Gwagwalada Area Council of the FCT, HRH Alhaji Mohammed Bello Umar, has urged parents to ensure they pay more attention to the education of their children and wards.

Alhaji Mohammed made the call when he received traditional title holders, members of his traditional council, community leaders and village and district heads in his chiefdom that paid him Sallah homage at his palace on Sunday.

He also urged stakeholders in education to support the government on girl child education, noting that education was the bedrock of every society.

He also called on the residents of the chiefdom to continue to live in peace irrespective of tribal, ethnic and religious affiliations, even as he called for prayers for the country to overcome its security challenges.

He further said, “I also want to call on all the village chiefs and community leaders, as well as district heads under my chiefdom, to continue to be vigilant and keep their eyes on strange people that come to their domains.”
