The Kaduna State Chapter of the Association of Professional Printers of Nigeria (ASSPPON) has elected new executives to run its affairs for the next two years. 

A statement issued by the ASSPPON Caretaker Chairman in Kaduna, Abubakar Nadabo stated that the election, which took place at the Printers Secretariat in Kaduna saw the emergence of Alhaji Abubakar Muhammad Tajudeen as Chairman, Mr Abraham O. Benson as Vice Chairman while Mr Okaja David Oche was elected State Secretary and Mrs Margret Okon Ohanefe elected the Financial Secretary.

Others are AbdulSalam Shehu as Treasurer, Ashafa Jamil Mohammed as PRO, Mohammed M. Mohammed as Auditor, Alhassan Sani as Welfare Secretary, Mercy Vincent as Asst. Secretary while, Ibrahim Jaji was elected Provost and Akintunde Adebayo Daniel as Chairman Taskforce. 

According to the statement, the third Vice President of Chartered Institute of Professional Printers of Nigeria (CIPPON), and representative of the national council, Comrade Salako Babajide applauded the electoral committee and the outgoing caretaker committee for a credible election. 

He urged the new leadership to be guided by the association’s constitution while imploring members to ensure cooperation and unity towards moving the industry and the profession higher. 

The head of the electoral committee, Ali Muhammad noted that his team showed commitment to a smooth transition, adding that, the election was certified by agents and observers at both national and state levels. 

In his acceptance speech, the newly elected chairman, Alhaji Abubakar Muhammad Tajudeen promised to work harmoniously with all members towards the success of the profession, and the protection of the welfare of all members.
