As Nigerians partake in the Presidential and National Assembly polls tomorrow, a total of 1,806,231 registered voters are expected to vote in Kebbi state.
The Resident Electoral Commissioner, Ahmad Mahmud, disclosed this to journalists while briefing them on the preparedness of INEC for the elections on Saturday.
He said there are 77,932 PVCs that are yet to be collected in Kebbi state INEC office.
“I can tell you that we are 95 percent ready for the elections. Our sensitive materials are being off loaded at the airport”, he said.
The REC added that there are 2,398 polling units and 1,345 voting points across the 225 wards where elections are expected to hold in Kebbi state.
He said “I will say we are well funded in terms of logistics and we have trained over 16,000 collation, returning, presiding and other ad-hoc staff for the elections”.
He stated that the voting pattern in the elections would be simultaneous and it is expected to start by 8am and end by 2pm on Saturday.
