Presidential election: Buhari floors Atiku in Kebbi

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Kebbi state has declared President Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressives Congress (APC) winner of the presidential election having scored 581,552 votes to defeat his main contender, Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who got 154,282 votes.

INEC’s Returning Officer, Professor Armu Yau Hamisu Bichi, said a total of 803,755 were cast in the election while valid votes were 756,605 and rejected votes were 47,150.

Buhari won in all the 21 local government areas of Kebbi state, according to Prof. Bichi.
