The Presidential Advisory Committee on Prerogative of Mercy (PACPM) yesterday visited the Kuje Correctional Centre in Abuja and considered 60 inmates for presidential pardon.
The committee said only deserving persons would be considered for recommendation to President Muhammadu Buhari for requisite action.
Deputy Director, Press Department, Ministry of Special Duties and Intergovernmental Affairs, Julie Osagie, in a statement, said the committee looked into cases bothering on money laundering, criminal misappropriation, false pretense, robbery cases and others.
She said the committee was led to the correctional centre by its chairman, the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, represented by a deputy director in the Ministry of Justice, Ayoola-Daniels Leticia.
