Premium Pension Limited, ARM Pension Limited and Stanbic IBTC Pension are the leading Contributory Pension Scheme (CPS) in terms of returns to contributors and the unit price of active contributors.
The active contributors’ fund is called Retirement Savings Account (RSA) Fund II operated for people below 50 years of age, data obtained from the National Pension Commission (PENCOM) on the performances of the Pension Fund Administrators (PFAs) in the industry showed.
The analysis shows that Premium Pension’s cumulative returns since inception was 433.75 per cent, above the industry average of the top eight Pension Fund Administrators (PFAs) of 368.45 per cent. The unit price as at 2020 was 5,3375.
ARM came second with 404.06 per cent cumulative returns since inception, also above the average of 368.45 per cent and unit price of 5.0406, while Stanbic came third with 392.42 per cent and 4.9242 unit price.
Other PFAs according to the order of performances include FCMB Pension, PAL pension, TRUSTFUND pension, Leadway Pension and Sigma Pension.
On the RSA Fund IV, that is retiree fund, Stanbic IBTC Pension, ARM Pension and PAL Pension led in a retiree fund otherwise called RSA Fund IV. RSA FUND IV is also called Fund for Retirees only.
