Praise dancing for breaking barriers (II)

2Samuel 6:12-16…20-23

We have been looking at an important aspect of praise: dancing. The Bible says in Psalm 149:3, “Let them praise his name in the dance: let them sing praises unto him with the timbrel and harp.” We play music and dance to the rhythm in praise of His Name. And we have been considering five benefits of praising God through dancing.

5 Benefits Of Praising God In The Dance

1. Praise dancing breaks all known and unknown barriers!

2. Praise dancing gives you uncommon victory in battle.

3. Praise dancing gives you access to unlimited supernatural abundance.

(Continued from last week…)

4. Praise dancing guarantees quick turnaround. It provokes unusual restoration. Jeremiah 31:13(NKJV), “Then shall the virgin rejoice in the dance, And the young men and the old, together; For I will turn their mourning to joy, Will comfort them, And make them rejoice rather than sorrow.” This is amazing! Most people think that the way to get their problem solved is by weeping. But here the Bible gives us the secret to quick turnaround, “…rejoice in the dance…” Are you single and you want to get married? rejoice in the dance. Are you jobless and you want to be blessed? rejoice in the dance. Are you afflicted in any way and you want to be free? rejoice in the dance! Are you lacking in anyway and you want to turn your fortunes around quickly? rejoice in the dance!

Then God says, “…For I will turn their mourning to joy, Will comfort them, And make them rejoice rather than sorrow.” And He went further to say in verse 14, “I will satiate the soul of the priests with abundance, And My people shall be satisfied with My goodness, says the LORD.” I have seen this work for us time and time again! Do you want to experience a quick turnaround in your situation? Do you want to be satiated? Dance! Do you want to be satisfied with God’s abundance? Dance! Dance in the midnight, dance in the morning. Dance whenever you feel you are under attack. Dance when you feel like weeping. Dance when you are happy. Dance when you are sorrowful. Dance, dance, dance!

When you become addicted to dancing you begin to enjoy quick turnarounds in your life. If you want restoration, throw a party for the Lord.

5. Praise Dancing Positions you for grace. Praise dancing enhances humility which positions you for more grace. Michal, Saul’s daughter, criticized David sharply for the way he danced before the Ark of the covenant. Her problem was self-consciousness and self-respect. She felt that her husband disgraced their royal status by dancing in front of common people. Hear what she said, “…And Michal the daughter of Saul came out to meet David, and said, How glorious was the king of Israel today, uncovering himself today in the eyes of the maids of his servants, as one of the base fellows shamelessly uncovers himself! [21] So David said to Michal, It was before the LORD, who chose me instead of your father and all his house, to appoint me ruler over the people of the LORD, over Israel. Therefore I will play music before the LORD. [22] And I will be even more undignified than this, and will be humble in my own sight.”

David was saying, I’m not where I am today because I’m strong or because I’m smart, God gave it to me. I’m here because of His grace. By the grace of God I’m what I am. The Bible says God resists the proud and gives grace to the humble. I’ll humble myself more so that He can pour more grace into my life. So, those who humble themselves before God in the dance, enjoy more grace from Him. Michal saw the people; David saw the Lord. Her problem was how she was perceived by the people, but David’s focus was how he was perceived by the Lord. It does not matter your position before men, it is your posture before God that matters. She was full of pride because of her position but David said he would humble himself in his own sight before the Lord who chose him to be king in place of Saul. Dancing breaks the barrier of pride and gives glory to the One who deserves it. Then it opens the door for more grace. I desire to be more than what I am now so I will humble myself and dance so that I can receive more grace for where I am going.

This is not the time to grumble, this is not the time murmur, it is time to celebrate the God of the breakthrough- Jehovah Jireh, the God of abundance. It is time to confuse the devil by rejoicing before God in the dance! It is time to position yourself for more grace for the progress you desire.

As you give praise to God daily, He will not only defeat your enemies, He will open great doors for you and you will ride high, in Jesus Name! Every barrier between you and your success breaks down now! Every barrier to your getting married collapses now! Every barrier to enlargement breaks down now! You will breakthrough every barrier and obstacle to your abundance, in the Name of Jesus! I command restoration in every area of your life! I decree your quick turnaround, in the Name of Jesus!

From today, you will flourish without hindrance, in the Name of Jesus! Every gang up against you scatters now, in the Name of Jesus! Your enemies will not only fail, they will fall before you, in the Name of Jesus! You will watch as your enemies destroy one another, in the Name of Jesus!

Welcome to a life of abundance and overflow, in the name of Jesus!

I see you celebrating, in the Name of Jesus!
