The Peoples Party of Nigeria (PPN) has begun strategising for Major Hamza Al-Mustapha in attempts to sway votes of the South West region in the direction of its presidential candidate for the 2019 elections.
Its national chairman Razak Eyiowuawi, in a statement in Ado Ekiti on Sunday said the party was leaving no stone unturned in shoring up its membership and support base ahead of the elections.
He siad the party’s strategic meeting which took off in Ibadan, Oyo state South West, at the weekend, was targeted at drumming support for Al-Mustapha’s candidacy and showcasing his ideals across all the geo-political zones.
The PPN boss aid the party chose the former Chief Security Officer to the late Head of State General Sani Abacha as the party’s presidential flagbearer in view of his vision and mission for the country’s revival, adding: “Nigerians will be better for it if they can allow the visions to materialise by voting for him”.
