PPA slams Jonathan over exclusion of 20 parties from confab

National chairman of the party, Peter Ameh, in a press statement yesterday in Abuja, said the party is not satisfied with the composition of the confab describing Jonathan as not being sincere to Nigerians.
“That the conference will be devoid of political maneuvering is far from the truth and cannot be, because all issues that will be brought on board the ship for discussion are largely issues that are politically based, issues that needs political solutions,” he said.
He said President Jonathan has nominated 25 percent of the total number of delegates adding that states controlled by the PDP nominated 3 delegates each, while the party nominated 2 and PDP national chairman coming as “elder statesman” putting the total number of delegates by the party at almost 150.
He lamented that the number of delegates approved and shortlisted to be fielded by the PDP, APC, APGA, LP and the Accord Party for the confab summed up to 218, with the PDP alone fielding 150, while the 20 other political parties have not been accorded recognition at all.
He argued that the confab would not reflect the true representation of the views of the masses but those of the friends of the Governors and Mr. President.
