A statement signed by the national chairman of the party, Chief Sam Nkire said the leadership of the caretaker committees in the two states have been changed in accordance with the provisions of the Constitution of the party.
Nkire announced Chief Kanayo Obidigbo as the new caretaker committee chairman for Anambra State while Engineer Leo Okereke becomes the caretaker committee chairman of the PPA for Imo state.
Ohers affected include Comrade Ameke, former Anambra chairman now zonal chairman Anambra North and Chief McDonald Ogoke, former Imo chairman, now zonal chairman Okigwe.
Nkire stated that all other members of the executive committee would remain in office pending the conduct of state congresses in the affected states.
Meanwhile, the chairman has called on the party faithful in Anambra State to give maximum support to the PPA candidate in the Anambra governorship election, Chief Godwin Ezeemo.
Nkire made the appeal in Abuja after Godwin Ezeemo was presented with the certificate of return as duly nominated candidate of the PPA.
The PPA boss said that the party was poised to winning elections and providing true dividends of democracy to the people.
