Anako said the performance management system is one of the six pillars of the Federal Civil Service Strategy and Implementation Plan (FCSSIP) 2021-2025.

The ministry’s scribe further said the ministry has completed arrangements to train all senior staff of the ministry on the Government Performance Management System, urging the directorate officers to make good use of the opportunities of the workshop to enrich their knowledge.

He stated that the introduction of the system is part of the efforts of the Federal Civil Service, led by the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Dr Folashade Yemi-Esan, to promote effective and efficient service delivery in the government.

This system is to replace the Annual Performance Evaluation Report (APER) to redirect employee efforts toward achieving Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) goals and objectives.

The Director, RC&SID, Mrs Titilayo Agbeyo, said the workshop would impact the officers with all the necessary knowledge about their schedule and how to properly function and reposition the Federal Civil Service for improved performance and service delivery.
