COAS, others’ death: Buhari postpones FEC, Police Council meetings

President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday ordered the postponement of Wednesday’s Federal Executive Council meeting to June 2, 2021.

The Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, in a statement, said Buhari also directed that the Police Council meeting earlier scheduled for May 27 be postponed to June 3 in honour of the memory of the Late Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Ibrahim Attahiru and 10 other military officers who died in the Friday’s plane crash in Kaduna.

He said Buhari urged all citizens to use this period of mourning to pray for the repose of the souls of the departed and strength for the families to bear the painful loss.
