Two men, Augustine Odiokwu Nonso (28) and Ahmed Mohammed (20) have been arrested by the police in Niger State for allegedly defrauding POS operators to the tune of N463,000.
It was learnt that while Nonso, an employed POS operator, was arrested for allegedly absconding with a POS machine and some money in Minna, Mohammed was said to have stolen a POS machine in Mokwa town, headquarters of Mokwa LGA.
The Niger State Police Command’s spokesman, SP Wasiu Abiodun, explained that Nonso was arrested within Bosso Estate, Minna, after he stole N170,000 and used same to play bet.

On the other hand, he said Mohammed was alleged to have withdrawn N293,000 using the POS machine he stole and also played bet with the money.
