Moreso, the Force Public Relations Officer of the police, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, via his Twitter account explained that the singer faces at least a 6-count charge offence and would have his day in court to clear his name.

Adejobi said, “Portable has more than 6 count charges to attend to, apart from resisting arrest and injuring a policeman. He will be charged to court for beating up a guy in Otta, who fired a petition to CP Ogun.”

While reacting to the statement via the controversial singer’s verified Instagram page, his management claimed that the singer was not arrested but adhered to the invitation of the police.

The statement read in part, “Remain calm as everything is under control. We writing this for those reaching out to us. Portable wasn’t arrested, he went to the police station himself to honour the invitation of the police.

“Police is our friend. We trust and believe the force will carry out their investigation and everything will be done appropriately. We are positive that all will go well as he is with the CP and the issue has been attended to. Management.”
