Policeman killed in Gombe attack

 Gunmen on Saturday attacked two wards in Nafada local government area of Gombe state leaving one police man dead at Birnin Fulani and ballot papers and card readers burnt. Another attack also took place Birnin Bolewa with one voter injured.

According to Usman Mohammed Dafun, a house of assembly candidate representing Birin Bolewa and Birin Fulani said the attackers were in military uniforms and after leaving Biri, they proceeded to Dukku in Dukku local government area. 

‎Normalcy has since returned to both localities our correspondent said.

Accreditations of voters began afterwards.

‎At Dukku, the attackers killed one person and injured the others and they are now receiving treatment at Dukku general hospital. A witness said one of the attackers was killed in during the incident
